Our lively atmosphere, interwoven with meaningful connection & devoted guest service advocates for growth of the sport by centering connection, adventure, and passion.

Our routes are constantly updated which serves to maintain a fresh climbing experience.

We also offer associated fitness programs available to members such as Yoga, Tai-Chi, Kung Fu, and Aikido.

You may know that our climbing community at Campbell Road previously went by the name “Texas Rock Gym”. While the legal ownership and entity of our gym is anew, the decades of passion and expertise lives on through our current team and community.

Our mission at Climb Capuchin is to creature a positive, inclusive, and expansively educational climbing community that inspires climbers new and old to devote themselves to the adventure and sport of climbing. You may also notice our distinct emphasis on outdoor climbing: ClimbCap routes are set to mimic natural rock as closely as possible and we prioritize empowering our community to connect with nature through outdoor climbing experiences.

We hope you enjoy your time with us, and that the ClimbCap serves your climbing journey and ignites your sense of adventure!

Community Program Leaders

Mikie Smith LeMay

Lead Yoga Instructor

Mikie began her yoga journey during pregnancy in 1995, initially for flexibility during childbirth.

Over time, she embraced various forms of yoga alongside traditional workouts. Inspired by Andrew Dugas in 2017, she pursued RYT 200 training in January 2019. Her focus includes strengthening muscles around joints, activating lower back extensors, and enhancing range of motion.

With over 20 years as a licensed massage therapist and a BS in Kinesiology, Mikie aims to empower students to find strength and mobility. Outside yoga, she enjoys rock climbing, backpacking, traveling, baking, and coffee. Join her to feel stronger and better than ever!

Eric Calderon

Aikido Instructor

Erik Calderon began his training at the age of 5 years old and studied several different martial arts on and off until the age of 20 when he began to train more consistently. At the age of 21 he moved to Tokyo, Japan where he lived for over 6 years training at the Aikikai World Headquarters under Kisshomaru Ueshiba.

Calderon sensei had the special opportunity to become an apprentice of Kato, Hiroshi Shihan. With a direct lineage to the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba, Calderon sensei learned a traditional form of Aikido from Japan.

Aikido literally translates into English as The Way to Harmonize the Spirit and is meant to be a means to express love through a form of self-defense that protects, not only the self, but the person attacking as well.
